Getting out of Stuck
Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart…. Who
looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes. – Carl Jung

If something is holding you back, identify it. Once it’s revealed you can do something about it, because in the meantime, it’s a distractive force, keeping you from the path to your dream.
This distraction can also be a wake-up call, reminding you that you really need to sign up for that class, learn more about marketing, sharpen or hone your public speaking skills. You might be held back by a reluctance to open important communicate with someone close to you. Holding onto resentments, or living in the past is self-defeating and a drain on your energy resources necessary to live your best life now and in the future.
You may need more energy in order to pursue what you love at a higher level. Maybe you need to lose weight, get more rest, take care of a health concern, or resolve issues of anxiety, or depression.
If you have a dream you want to pursue, first identify what is in your way, and do something immediately to begin the process of resolving and healing what is in your way, or begin to build your skills so you can enlarge your capacity to receive what it is you dream of.
The process is internal at first. You might need to get organized in your mind, by learning to focus and concentrate, and then you will be able to organize your life around you. Almost all of us feel unorganized in some region of our lives. Build the standards of structure that allow you to focus on something important. Our brains function the best for 50 minutes to one hour at a time before a break is helpful. Give yourself an hour to write, paint, take a class, make the phone calls, whatever it is that you need to do to build toward your dream.
Otherwise, you will spend your time in a form of psychic chaos that distracts you from your goal. It gets easier to give in to interruptions that promise amusement and
recreation, and it becomes harder to get down to the business of finding the true fulfillment you seek through a life of purpose and contribution – through your dream – that special gift you were given to do.
The change you want to see in your life will come from your own self-approval, formed through the daily habit of focused attention toward your goals.
“When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don’t adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.” – Confucius
